Born from a common dream and with great enthusiasm, we are happy to announce this Suzuki Summer Course in Gran Canaria. An unique island for many things. Its people, its culture, its immense beaches, its climate or its mountains full of life,
We believe in music as a universal language capable of uniting cultures and helps improving the society. Therefore we would like to invite Suzuki families from all over the world to participate in this new course. We would like to spread the Suzuki Method on the island like it has already grow in many places and made thousands of families enjoy through its music
Throughout our training in the Suzuki Method, we have met great teachers of pedagogy and life who have guided and inspired us. On this occasion (and we hope many others) we are very happy to announce that CLAUDIO FORCADA, ISABEL MOREY SUAU, KOEN RENS AND EULÁLIA SUBIRÁ will be part of this year's cast of teachers.

Masterclass: Pack of 4 classes €200. Depending on availability and amount of inscriptions. Note that these classes are extra curricular and not included in the price of the course. For external students the same rate applies.

Classes for Babies (from 0 to 3 years old) based on Edwin Gordon's Music Learning Theory: €40 for families with another child enrolled in the course / €60 for external students.

Observer Teachers: €90 Suzuki Teachers*/ €120 Other teachers interested in approaching the Suzuki Method.
* Teachers who are following the Suzuki Method Training or who have completed any of the Suzuki Method training levels before.
All course participants will be able to attend a daily morning session of Body and Brain Warm-up and pedagogical talks.
Deadline for all registrations: May 15th
We offer a special discount for Suzuki students (and families) who register before March 30th!
Additional students from the same family who enroll in the course will have 10% discount. Each participant must fill out a single form.
The organizers of this workshop reserve the rights to cancel the course if at least 60% of the places are not booked in advance. In this case, the total amount paid will be refunded (except in cases where there is a commission for reimbursement)

The course will take place in Gran Canaria, at the facilities of the Gloria Palace San Agustín Thalasso & Hotels. A four stars hotel located in San Agustín area, in the south of the island.

It is a quiet area and it is just 500m from the nearest beach Las Burras and 600 m from San Agustín’s beach, and close to the two largest beaches on the island: Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés. San Agustin’s Shopping Center is located about 500 m where you can find various restaurants, bars, as well as supermarkets.

The hotel, in addition to being the venue where the classes will take place, offers us accommodation at a special rate. This helps us to offer our participants the easiest way to fully enjoy the course and spend more time with other members of the community (children, fathers, mothers, teachers, teachers in training, etc.)

In any case, participants who wish to stay elsewhere, the Gloria Palace hotel offers them the possibility of having a buffet-style meal every day.

For families that are not staying at the hotel where the course is held, the Gloria Palace offers them the possibility of having a buffet-style meal. Prices include one drink: Children from 3 to 13 years old (included): €12.00 per person. Adults over 14 years old: €17.50 per person.

In the San Agustín area we find a wide variety of hotels and apartments close to the place where the course will take place. Off course, every family is free to finding accommodation elsewhere, there is no obligation

Traveling with Cellos
Some airlines such as Iberia, Air Europa or Easyjet, have special policies to be able to carry musical instruments in the plane cabin as carry-on hand baggage. We believe that cellos up to the size of 1/2 (approx. 110 cm high), could be transported with these airlines.
The conditions may vary depending on the origin and airline, or if the flight is a chartered flight. We recommend you to check the exact conditions with the company with which you wish to fly. As a rule of thumb; If guitars are allowed as hand luggage, cellos up to this size (approx. 1/2) should also be allowed.
Low cost carriers like Ryanair and Vueling usually request an extra ticket to transport any instrument that is larger than the dimensions established for hand luggage.
We are trying to get cellos of various sizes to make it easier for those families who need it to attend the course. The renting cost and the conditions will be announced later. Please contact us if you need an instrument and we will try to help you: grancanariasuzukiworkshop@gmail.com
Covid Protocol
The health recommendations and guidelines established by the hotel and the Spanish Government for the Covid protocol will be followed at all times.
Close to the date, we will send all the recommendations according to the level of alert in which the island will be.

REGISTRATION AND PLACE RESERVATION:
In order to participate in Gran Canaria Suzuki Workshop it will be necessary to fill out THIS FORM as well as make the payments within the requested time.
We recommend you to reserve your place as soon as possible. In this way we will be able to guarantee your place and thus offer you all the details in time.
After sending the registration form, you will receive an email with the bank details to make a payment of €50 to reserve your place. This amount will be deducted from the total cost of the course.
Schedules and teacher assignment will be finalised in the meantime and sent at the latest in July.
